Imperial Cormorants in The Beagle Channel
Hundreds of cormorants dotted the numerous islands in the Beagle Channel as our catamoran cruised slowly by. The Ushuaia Lighthouse stands in the background on another nearby rocky island. The channel is named after the HMS Beagle, the ship that carried the English naturalist, Charles Darwin, on a five year voyage around the southern tip of South America.
